For international orders only:
Due to customs and biosecurity of many countries, we have had to change how we ship our paydirt. Many countries’ biosecurity will not allow soil into their countries but do allow sand and gravel. Because we call this ‘paydirt’, some packages have been confiscated as they see ‘paydirt’ as soil, even though it contains sand and gravel. To prevent this from happening and packages not making it to the customer, for international orders only, we are putting the precious contents (the gold, gems, and heavies) that would typically be added to a ‘paydirt’ bag, in a small bag without sand and gravel added. We will however be adding extra magnetite to mask the contents so that the precious contents are still a surprise. This will be a ‘build your own bag’, as you will need to add sand and gravel to the bag with the precious contents. Extra will be added to these bags to compensate for anything natural that would have been found in the sand and gravel in the original ‘paydirt’. These changes were made in October 2024 due to heightened biosecurity in the USA, blocking many orders. This information will be posted in the website, the product description, the product gallery, and the package itself.

Many pieces of gold 0.173 grams and a dozen or so gem stones. 0.2 grams of mercury covered gold gave this purchase a low rating. Hesitant to try another bag of pay dirt due to the mercury as it is harmful to the environment and all life forms.

That was not mercury covered gold, That was a piece of sterling silver. I put a piece in each bag so a novice panner can identify silver.

I just received my bag of dirt in the mail today. I absolutely love it as it is exactly as Dan said. I have now spent the past 4 hours panning it back and forth looking for different gem stones. I had loots of fun panning whit my grand kids. found many different gems, a piece of silver, small nugget and some fine gold. i love the challenge to get the fine gold, i put some of my concentrate under my microscope and i found some gold that is to small to see whit the naked eye. i am very satisfied.

This was my first pan since I was a kid, and it was a lot of fun! My 6 year old son and I spent a few hours going through the TONS of gemstones and garnets, determined to find them all!!! I think we did a pretty good job.
There wasn’t much gold (0.14g) but it was fun to see some shiny! I went through the cons 3 times just to be sure, but my first pan got 95% of it (thanks to Dan’s great instructional videos on gold planning!). Very interested to try a bigger bag of pay dirt in the near future!

Recieved .25 grams of gold tons of sapphire, some peridot, ore from the blue chip and I believe a piece of ocean jasper. I even found 1 little diamond!
I sure did look hard for the diamond dry but I gave up add lots of soap to a pan of water n panned it in a smaller pan. Right once I started reduction of the black sands all the presents started popping that I missed!
My main reason for buying was to see how a picker handled in the pan and the garnets just so I know how they handle in a pan to have some knowledge before I go on a road trip looking

Just finished panning and got a lot of good gems. I got every thing I hoped for and more! I Did not think this would happen, but I got a few chips of BC ocean picture stone in it. I tried my best to find the diamonds, but the last time I went panning was 5 years ago so I think I might have missed them. As expected there was a pinch of gold plus the silver bead, I had a great time finding it! I will be buying more someday!

Over all not bad. A little pricey after you add shipping and get about half as much as the picture showes. But there was some different things in there that weren’t listed so Overall not bad. Very little gold. Maybe 6 small jems. Maybe add some more garnets to your mix. Your always getting buckets of them and it would have made it feel worth buying an other bag if there was a little more in there even if they aren’t worth much money. I might buy a bag of something else but not a repeat on this one.

Got a pan and this bag of dirt for 3 kings day. Did not win the gold lottery as it won’t regester on my cheep scale so most likely the .1g that Dan added. But still very happy over all. May have got 2 diamonds or 1 small peridot and a Dimond as well as some other things I have yet to identify. Will be going through it a 3rd time to make sure I did not miss anything and maybe pull out the tiny sand size garnets. To bad I can’t post a picture of what I found will definitely be buying another bag when I have some money burning a hole in my pocket!
